It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like…….the Fall TV Season
Here’s what I do every Fall when the new television season starts: I check out my favorite website, Television Without Pity, and see what they think is good for the coming season and I start setting my DVR. Then, if we go more than three weeks without having time to watch them, I start deleting. I find that a lot of them go by the wayside, but some of my favorites (Grey’s Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Dollhouse, The Biggest Loser) I never miss. This year I’m also trying Flash Forward, Vampire Diaries, The Good Wife, and Modern Family. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Here’s the problem: Because of my school schedule and our Monday through Thursday TV ban, we find it harder and harder to get caught up on shows during the weekend. We have tennis lessons, church, working the nursery; not to mention, the girls go to the monkey’s every other Friday so there goes that night. I love the Fall, even though I tend to make bad decisions, and I love TV, so it’s my most favorite time of the year. Mmmmm….Thanksgiving. However, inevitably I’m going to yell “It’s too much”, and good-bye The Good Wife or something.
I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that I started a quest to get caught up on Lost before the series finale beginning in February. It’s on Watch Instantly on Netflix so I thought I could get four seasons watched in five months, or four months before season five comes out in December. It took me three weeks. I’m embarrassed to say how I did it and how many shows I watched a day, but I finished all four seasons. It has quickly become my favorite show, although, I have no idea how I’m going to be able to wait until December 8th to watch season five. There has to be another way to get it, a bootleg maybe.
The Fall TV season is like my football season. So there goes all my extra time I was boasting about.
